Diocletian was one of the most transformative emperors of the late Roman Empire. He ended the Crisis of the Third Century by introducing the Tetrarchy, dividing imperial power among four rulers. His sweeping administrative and military reforms strengthened the empire for decades. Diocletian's coinage reflects his authority and divine favor, often featuring Jupiter, Genius, and the radiate crown. He is also notable for being the only emperor to voluntarily retire.
